Goalkeepers
Edouard Mendy - GK - OVR 83>>85
Chilwell's resurgence since his return to the Chelsea starting eleven has been omnipresent. He scored the only goal of the game in Chelsea's 1-0 away win over Brentford. The home side were unlucky not to win the game, let alone come away empty-handed. Mendy put in a phenomenal performance between the posts, saving the win with a total of seven saves, some of which were incredible. Although Chilwell looks to be a strong contender on paper, I would be very surprised if Mendy did not win the IF on Wednesday.
Defenders
Angelo Ogbonna - CB - OVR 80>>83
There was a time when an IF for Ogbonna would have been very welcome, but now, a couple of years later and with a significant drop in pace stats, he is becoming a throwaway IF. The Italian gets the IF prediction because he scored the only goal of the game in West Ham's 1-0 win over Everton. The Hammers look to be a very strong side this year and should be in contention for Europe again.
Midfielders
Youri Tielemans - CM - OVR 84>>86
With United's unbeaten record away from home coming to an end, I would expect a Leicester IF as the result. Especially considering the 4-2 result. Tieleman was voted MOTM with an 8/10, and although he only scored one goal, it was an impressive strike, and we're not exactly littered with opportunities this week. I expect the goal to be enough for the Belgian to get his first IF of the season
Striker
Erling Haaland - ST - OVR 88>>89
With the majority of the squad failing to convince this week, I think Haaland's chances of a place in the starting eleven increase, although EA seem reluctant to give the goalscorer his first call-up. The Norwegian has now scored 70 Dortmund goals in 68 games, and we must remember that he is still in his infancy. His last brace came in Dortmund's 3-1 win over Mainz.
Robert Lewandowski - ST - OVR 92>>93
Munich were really impressive this weekend and it looked as if they would win by double digits in the match against Leverkusen. After just 37 minutes they were already five goals up, including four goals in seven minutes! There are four players who could realistically be selected in the IF, but with Lewandowski becoming both POTW and MOTM, it is likely to be the Polish striker who makes the team.
